Partial discharge (PD) monitoring is now an internationally recognized and widely adopted technique for diagnosing the insulation condition of electrical equipment. It is mainly used for routine inspections or on-site testing of high-voltage equipment in substations. By monitoring and analyzing partial discharge signals within Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), and utilizing a centralized data analysis system for processing, visualization, and alarm output, it enables effective monitoring and assessment of the operating condition of GIS equipment, thereby preventing unexpected failures of high-voltage systems.

The LO-HFCT series high-frequency partial discharge sensors are widely applicable to PD detection in high-voltage electrical equipment of various voltage levels, including cables, switchgear, GIS, generators, PT cabinets, and circuit breakers. These sensors can be installed on the grounding lines of cable terminations/surge capacitors, cable bodies or shielding layers, as well as on the neutral lines of generators and transformers. They provide reliable real-time online monitoring and diagnosis of discharge activities in high-voltage equipment, enabling digitalized substation maintenance. This ensures a solid foundation for end users to conduct online PD assessment throughout the expected lifecycle of equipment, guaranteeing safe and reliable operation
